Our mission is to provide education, training, and support to people of determination
to assist them to live as independently as possible
Our Story
The NEEDS Center was founded in 2012 by professionals with extensive
experience in developmental disabilities services and supports. Our leadership
team brings decades of hands-on work supporting people with developmental
disabilities, including specialized experience working with individuals who
present with complex or challenging behaviors. Beginning in 2023, The NEEDS
Center expanded its services internationally, supporting people with disabilities
in new regions while maintaining the same standards of care, expertise, and
commitment that guide our work in the United States.
How We Have Grown
Since first providing services in April 2014, The NEEDS Center has grown to include
32 adult group residences and five day support programs across the United States.
In 2017, the organization added a consulting division that provides behavioral and
related supports to children with autism and other developmental disabilities in school
and home settings. Building on this strong foundation, The NEEDS Center expanded
its services internationally in 2025, extending its expertise to support people of
determination in new regions while maintaining the same standards of care and
practice that guide its work in the United States.
